Her name is Aaradhya

(I met Aaradhya in a village {our base camp} while I went on a trek. On probing few elders got to know a bit about her.. that made my eyes moist and my heart just couldn't stop beating for her)

She didn’t have much going her way
Was six months old when she lost her mother
Hardly saw her father as he used to work faroff
Had no children her age.. in that tiny village
Had one duckling toy in her hand, which am sure would have been her life
When my troop were eating poha, she ate too sitting at one corner.. all alone

Seeing her, I gave her a pack of jimjam, and her face lit like the brightest star in the sky
I took a minute to do my chores and came back to check on her.. and she was gone.. her plate still had poha
I went searching for her.. and found her in one corner eating jimjam
I asked her if she liked it..
She smilingly nodded her head
And I went inside and got her one more pack
And she burst giving her widest widest smile
She laughing ran around in circles with a jmjam pack in each of her hand..
..that tears ballooned in my eyes

I was low on charge.. but next moment I showed her a mobile game that my daughter had downloaded in my phone
It was a simple ‘decoratig the cake’ game
She snatched the phone with both her hands..
And started colourfully decorating the cake, and kept laughing on top of her voice..
That laughter sound is still there in my eardrums
